Mindy Hartman Mayol graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, with both a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Kinesiology. She teaches in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Indianapolis and currently serves as Faculty Instructor, the Student Wellness Course Coordinator and Exercise Science Internship Advisor. She served on the Faculty/Staff Benefits Committee and is a committee member on the Faculty/Staff Wellness Working Group and Multicultural Affairs Committee.
She published the textbook Wellness: The Total Package. Over a span of nearly 15 years, Ms. Mayol has worked with the National Institute for Fitness and Sport in Corporate Fitness Management and with St. Vincent Hospitals and The Care Group cardiologists and physicians in Health Promotion and Wellness. She is a Certified Health Fitness Specialist and member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) since 1999. She is also a member of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAPHERD) as well as with the Indiana Chapter (IAHPERD) and was awarded the 2010 IAHPERD Recreation Professional of the Year Award.
Mayol currently resides in Indianapolis, IN, with her husband, Matt, and two sons, Alexander and Vincent.
